Monster Girl #5, Mermaid
Except only kind of. She’s certainly more Abe Sapien than Ariel. Manta rays are some of the coolest marine animals I’ve ever seen and it’s kind of a dream of mine to see one in person, and maybe even get to swim with one. After all the scales and hair of the last few girls, I was so glad to work on something a little simpler!
Colors used were taken from Chromaa

Monster Girl #4! Naga
I went with Danielle’s idea on this one. The creature has roots in Hindu and Buddhist mythology, but a Native American inspired Naga just seemed like a fun idea. She’s referenced more from southwestern tribes, along with her snake half being like a diamondback rattlesnake. I couldn’t quite find a palette for her, so I kinda cheated and picked two from Chromaa.
Sorry this one took a while, I’ve been busy moving back into school. Up next is the Mermaid!
Monster Girl #3, Slime girl, complete!
So.. this was a bit awkward because we all know slime girls are fetish fuel. So automatically my goal was to make her as un-sexy as possible. Since a slime’s basically just a giant amoeba, she’s got no eyes or real features save for what’s left of her last victim.
Color palette used provided by the awesome Chromaa.
Monster Girl #2, the centaur, is finished!
Got another atypical animal choice here. I was just looking for an animal that’d be kind of different and fun, so.. I picked a yak.
Yes, a yak.
All the hair and some Tibetan and Mongolian accessories were pretty fun. I like little details like that. Plus I got to play with a different body type on her. Strong yak woman don’t need no man. Color palette used provided by the wonderful Chromaa.
Monster Girl #1 Finished!
Way back in the day the harpies were actually beautiful! I ran with that and chose a bird with a little more grace: the Demoiselle Crane. I also gave her little microraptor fingers for good measure.
I also decided I was going to do each of these monster girls using a different color palette from Chromaa. I didn’t realize until I’d put that big circle behind her that I picked a J.C. Leyendecker palette. I loved these colors though, so they had to be used.
